Had a really successful exam today to finish off my Publicity and Public Relations certificate from the University of Toronto. So often we gauge time passing by the seasons, and if I evaluate 2009 on that precedent, it has passed at an acceptable rate. Yet if I consider the fact that I began this scholastic adventure in February it makes it seem that the year has passed much faster. None the less, it is now complete.

What I will do with this certification is subject to significant internal discussion, between my wife and I, and some other external factors that are yet to be determined. In other words, I am not ready to share my ideas, not to mention that my goals aren’t entirely within my control. I really enjoyed this education and I am quite taken by the public relations discipline. We’ll leave it at that for now.

We’re celebrating with a movie tonight, going to see Julie and Julia, a show about Julia Child. It apparently centres around cooking and a young woman’s inspiration to blog about food. Sounds a lot like my wife. We’re both looking forward to it. It’s the first Hollywood movie we’ll have seen in nearly three years, and I’m not ashamed to say that. Hope it’s good! I’ll let you know.
