This post is a couple of weeks late; most of the city’s cherry tree blossoms have now given way (rained on, blown off or otherwise fallen like heavenly pink snow) to leaves, but here’s a look at some anyway. This photo was taken on April 11 near English Bay beach in Vancouver’s West End.
It’s been a cold start to spring – for Vancouver that is. The trees are heavy with buds, already a month behind, awaiting some heat from which to spread their canopies. Us citizens as well.
