Sweet, sweet sleep.
I took CoPilot’s advice and applied heat to my quad last evening, along with the normal ice pack around the knee. I also loosened the brace a little bit before going to sleep, to reduce the pressure points I was experiencing.
These steps really did the trick. It significantly calmed down my leg and I had a relatively uninterrupted sleep (like, maybe just two or three brief wake-ups, no severe pain and none for very long) for the first time since surgery. It was glorious.
