Ride: September 14, 2013 – Rehab Ride to Iona

Today was a repeat visit to Iona to continue rehabbing my back/hips/pelvis alignment. At my physio appointment this morning, my practitioner released my hip flexors, etc. – it was truly punishing treatment, but worked. She’s both an angel and a torturer.

I pushed a wee bit harder this time, including a PB up the Cat. 4 Cambie Street hill, and while my back was tight once I got home, things have held up. It was good to get out while the weather held… Looks like it will be worsening in the coming days. Conditions today were interesting, sunny but cool throughout ride until Sea Island (airport) where it was dense fog – runway lights were on, traffic lights…

I’m still intending to ride the Tour de Victoria next weekend, but will pull out if I don’t see enough improvement or stability in my back/hips by mid-week. Here’s hoping!
